How they got
engaged
Bianca's words:
On Valentine's Day (2003) we made plans to have dinner in a lovely
restaurant in Boston, L'Espalier. this restaurant was rated "Best
Romantic Restaurant in 2003", "Best
Romantic restaurant in 2001" and "Best
French Restaurant in 2000", so it seemed like a great place
to go for Valentine's Day.
We
enjoyed a six courses dinner meal with wine, it was very nice. The food
was delicious, the place so lovely and romantic, but best of all I had
the best company ever.
Dinner
was excellent and we had a great time. After dinner, we returned to
Darren's place and I was able to see for the first time the beautiful
Valentine's flowers and the lovely card that Darren had for me.
Darren setup the fireplace and by the warm cozy fire Darren when down
on one knee, I did not notice at first, since I was sitting on
the sofa I thought he was just getting comfortable. He started to
say so many beautiful things: how much he loves me, how he could not
imagine his life without me, how happy he was with me, etc., etc.,
etc. - but Darren has always said so many beautiful things like that
-so his words were not unusual, until he said "Bianca will you marry
me". I said "yes, of course - I'll marry you".
Then,
we kissed and hugged and here I honestly thought he meant: "would you
marry me someday", but went he pulled out a ring from behind the
sofa's pillows (that he carefully hided earlier that day) I realized
that he meant for us to be engaged that very day and he was not just
talking about a distance future. He showed me the beautiful ring and
then I said "Oh!! you are really asking me", he said "YES" then asked
me once again "will you marry me" and I said "YES" one more time.
It all went so fast, the happiest moment
of my life and the best is yet to come.
